Commercial Account Exec (Trainee)


Role: Commercial Account Exec (Trainee)
Location: Winchester
Reports To: Commercial Insurance Manager
Salary Range: Up To £22k depending on experience
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.40 to 5pm

Job Summary:

Under the guidance of the commercial team, you will be trained on the principles of business insurance and assist in the day to day handling of commercial business, including quoting for new policies, renewals and mid-term adjustments.

You will provide high quality support and assistance to the commercial team caring for existing clients and helping, developing new business in order to meet growth targets.

We have a range of commercial insurance products from a selected group of leading insurers, we are price competitive and look to go over and above client's expectations in order to provide the best service possible.

Essential Skills:

  • Good standard of education
  • Good understanding of Windows programs - use of Word and Excel
  • Being attentive and maintaining concentration in a busy environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of seniority
  • Good ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Quick learner

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Using bespoke computer system, Acturis & CDL
  • Providing key support to commercial team
  • Engaging with clients by telephone and e-mail
  • Liaising with insurance companies to make amendments and discuss existing policies
  • Learning about different types of insurance and products
  • Maintaining a good level of personal smartness and presentation
  • Identifying client needs
  • Adherence to company procedures and compliance obligations
  • Treating the customer fairly and giving sound advice

  • Previous experience and or proven customer care skills
